Character Bio
Character’s Full Name
Baron Tristan Mordecai

Appearance: Strikingly handsome, mane of shoulder length blonde hair, slightly jutting jaw and patrician nose, pale comlexion without a blemish. Soul searching river blue eyes, and seductive gaze. Tall, slight yet muscular build, moves gracefully.
Favorites: Females, especially Miranda Ortega, a disrespectful mortal who thinks vampires are pretty F##ked up. Raw steak, panthers and the ballet.
Background: Made a deal with the Templar Knight Jacques de Molay to revenge the Templars for their hidden riches, and to protect de Molay’s bloodline over the centuries. He finds the computer age makes it much easier to manage his wealth. He is known to mortals as a reclusive book publisher.
Family: Bastard son of a Lithuanian Baroness. Orphaned and taken in by vampires who allowed him to join the family when in his twenties. He has rare HH blood which is prized by the elite vampire ruling class.
Personality: Control freak, who prides himself on his intelligence and vampire ethics. Brilliant and easily bored. He becomes irritated when his sense of order becomes disturbed. He has little tolerance for anyone who is abusive to a woman or child. He can hold a grudge for centuries.
Attitude: Mortals who are abusive to other human beings are worthy targets for assassination. He is a well-mannered nocturnal vigilante. He rarely cusses, and he is amused by the creative foul language of the mortal woman he is attracted to.
Habits (Good/Bad): He’s a vampire/He’s a vampire. It depends on your perspective. He is careful about who he deems worthy of assassination. That’s good. He really enjoys his calling, that’s bad.
Traits: Strong, confident, loyal, passionate, yet deadly when someone acts badly. Does not understand the concept of casual dress. Tends to throw large pieces of furniture when upset.
Self-Perception: He upholds the standards of the elite vampire class. He prides himself on his ability to please women. He sees himself as superior in all ways to mortals. A mortal  dared question his behavior he responded, “Don’t be so provincial. I have any right I choose. Your rules do not apply to my kind.”
Interrelations with Others (How does character relate to others?): He gets along well with other eite vampires. He is kind to the lower class vampires, though he is a bit of a snob. Female vampires adore him but he never tarries long. Tristan views sex as a form of recreational exercise. He’s over a thousand years old and he went through the entire vampire dating pool, twice. Miranda Ortega, our heroine, is special in many ways and he becomes irritated by her oppositional response to his wonderfulness. When he takes her out she says, “Nice! No one gets sucked to death on date night.”
Goals: He’s one of the most powerful vampires in the world. He is attracted to a descendent of a Templar Knight, who happens to have rare HH blood. There is a lot about Miranda that comes to light in the book, including that because of her unique bloodline she might be able to become pregnant by a vampire. It’s one of Tristan’s goals to see if that is possible. Another goal is to get revenge on Bram Stoker for his horrible depiction of a vampire in Dracula.
Miscellaneous (i.e. Occupation, Hobbies): He is interested in Hematology. He plays chess. He is an outstanding ice hockey player.
